A great addition for any percussionist, the cajon is perfect for living room jam sessions, small concerts, or any other venue. This versatile instrument is suited for the beginning drummer or the seasoned percussionist.

These particular cajons are "Flamenco style", meaning snare wires are behind the tapa (face/striking surface). The flamenco style drum has a more airy, crisp sound that resembles the sound of a drum kit because of the snare drum sound. Made of oak, birch, and lauan, each cajon from Bending Branch is completely glued and reinforced to give a more pure sound as well as added stability.
Sound projects from the port located on the back of the drum. High and low tones, as well as the snare effect are all built in. This cajon has outstanding acoustic properties with either one or two fixed snares located on the inside of the drum against the back of the front playing surface. Striking the top corners gives more slap and snap sounds, while playing in the middle of the tapa delivers deeper bass punches. Soft finger rolls are also easily achievable with its ultra-sensitive playing surface.
