Right now, in 2023, we are not finishing any items at all for clients, except ones that show finished..We are like lumber yard with specialty wood products. nothing rarely ships finished.

We send instructions with our pieces for customers to help them in finishing, their products, from tung oil to Urethanes and water based finishes, just ask ! If you have a trusted local wood worker in your neighborhood, utilize their skills, if you cannot, its money well spent.!!

Yes, we do, please ask. we do great discounts for larger volumes, yes.

NO they dont. We do this for our many repeat customers with a track record. Typically , we dont ship anything until shipping and packing is paid in full. Our published timeline for shipping becomes void if you dont pay for shipping. No pay=No ship. Easy.
If you supply us with an incorrect address, your item may be lost or returned to us ( commonly heavily worn) , due to return address. If it is returned, you will be billed an additional shipping fee and possibly an additional repacking fee , as it may need to be repacked from a 7000 mile round trip. Vitally important to supply correct address.

Our policy is no refunds, so read the advertisements carefully, we are not Amazon. Your order may be refunded at our discretion, and we will retain 10% of the item cost as administration fee.

We process shipping is several ways:

Best way= send us your zipcode= we attach it to the item and let you know bf purchase.

Second way= We can send you a custom order thru etsy that includes shipping.

3rd way= We can put up a custom post for you to click and buy the shipping post sale.

****Etsy does not have a technical shippign platform, for each size product, this is very diifcult to manage, so we have alternative methods.

This is a very common question. each block has many dozens of different ways to finish, from Urethane, Epoxies, Oils of different grades and toxicities, waxes, etc, etc. We ship our tops unfinished because we promote DIY finishing that will serve the client. Some Amazon sellers promote a Mineral oil finish. This is absolutely not what you want for your butcher block, read on next question.

Your tops useage dictates the finish that you would want to use. Using a mineral oil for a finished desk is a sloppy shortcut that we do not recommend , nor waxes, b/c they do not dry for a very long time. Beeswax may sound pretty and organic, but it wont dry for a very very long time.
There are lots of alternatives to Mineral oil, that look great.
If you want a tough stain and liquid resistant finish, we recommend our finish Urethanes we sell. Esp the Water Based ones. Also, 2 part Epoxies , shellacs and High End Varnishes. Be careful about products touted as green and earth friendly... Some sellers you see, will promote their oil finishes, inquire about what it actually is and the durability of it before making a choice.

Very , very rarely our pieces get broken, sometimes badly tho:

If your piece arrives BROKEN, please follow ETSY's insurers guidelines:
1) Do not throw away your packaging
2) Please leave " struts" on broken butcher blocks or live edge pieces
3) please take and send 6 photos that depict the damage, if you are unable to do this, please have friend do this for you and email them to me.
4) Please notify me ASAP
5) You may have to fill out an online statement ( if you cannot do this, have a friend assist
6) a claim with shipping damage is way DIFFERENT than a claim with us about a product. ( we have had one claim on insufficient product in 14 years, and that claim was misunderstanding about the product)

Sometimes immediately, sometimes there is substantial waiting time. Sometimes, not at all, if it is shipping related damage ( your item must go thru fedex claims process)

Once all the main key documents are sent to me ( 3) :
a) photos
b) online report, which I will send you a link to
c) letter of repairability

, a refund is more likely to take place in a matter of days.

Customers that are co operative with these requests, get quick and easy refunds.

If the 3 main documents are not supplied, it can be a very long process.
