About CC Willow:
I am a daughter of artist Virgil L Evans, Jr. Growing up and taking me to the Santa Clara County Fair, Dad would not let me go on the rides until after we had walked through the Fine Arts display and I had given a critique on each of the year's entries. While my talent lay with words, growing up with an artistic father & brother left me envious of those with the natural talent to paint, I finally mustered enough courage in 2003 to pick up the paint brush. I knew with Dad's tutelage I had long developed the eye and concepts of visual art, finally I realized that I could still learn the skills & tools. The hardest thing for me is to develop my own “voice” in painting - to not copy my dad’s. My art can be seen on my facebook page CC Willow Art.
CC Willow is a brush name. I also write poetry (all my life) under the name of Ariel, Pacific NW poet, am a member of Mid-Valley Poetry Society and am quite active at Pac NW Spoken Word events . A California transplant I live in Oregon with my son and furry housemates; camping often in the Cascades or reading by the fire.
