How do custom portraits work?

How it works: Send me an email to get the conversation started and ideas flowing. You will need a good photo reference or two of your subject. Next, I will start on the sketches, send these to you and make changes if needed. When everything is Ok, I I will start on the finished piece. When all is done, I send the illustration off in mail to you. Each piece will be created on illustration board and painted with watercolor and gouache paints. Sound fun? Let's start a conversation... Each portrait will take approximately 3 to 4 weeks from start to finish. Very complex pieces may take a bit longer.

Her work is dark and smart with a sharp wit while also on taking readers on a spiritual search for meaning. All the things I love in a good story. The peacock feather celebrates her love of the birds she raised.

The original hand drawn and painted illustration was created by me (Debra Styer) with watercolor and gouache.

The artwork on this limited edition Giclée print is approximately 6 x 8 and is printed on archival velvet fine art paper with archival inks.

The print includes a lovely antique white mat ready to pop into a 8 x 10 frame.

The print will be shipped to you in a protective sleeve with extra backing in a sturdy flat mailing envelope.
