We provide brackets, mounting hardware and detailed mounting instructions, but here's what you'll need to successfully hang our popular hollow wooden shelves: ~Stud Finder ~Level ~Impact driver or power drill ~Construction Adhesive (to attach shelf more permanently to bracket) ~Finish Nails

What's the difference between Contemporary Rustic and Modern Rustic?

The main difference between Modern Rustic and Contemporary Rustic is the Modern Rustic has uniform saw marks in the wood giving it more texture and often taking on the stain color slightly darker. Contemporary on the other hand does not have saw marks and has a smoother finish. Both styles will have rustic characteristics such as knots, cracks and varying wood grain patterns.

Beautiful Modern Rustic Floating Shelves in sizes 12 inch, 18 inch, 24 inch, 30 inch, 36 inch 42" and 48 inch handmade by us using rustic circle sawn Alder. Each shelf is skillfully crafted to resemble a solid beam with mitered edges leaving no visible end grains. The wood has uniform saw marks, knots, cracks, texture and other great characteristics which are all exposed differently when sanded, stained and lacquered. Making each shelf a little different but equally stunning.

*Each shelf is made to order and will vary in wood characteristics and color. Meaning some shelves will have more knots and cracks than others. Each piece of wood takes stain colors differently, we do our best to capture the best representations of the colors in our photos but please keep in mind that different variables such as wood characteristics and phone and computer monitors could make the color appear slightly different from what is photographed.

Our shelves are finished with a layer of sprayed on professional grade lacquer.
