Note: The lamb's wool is more marbled. When born they look brown or black, but as the wool starts to grow it changes colors, the fleece I just carded has dark brown, grays and cream. A little on the lumpy side, also. OK for felting and crafts but NOT for spinning.
I do not have a real dark fleece left.
The sheep we have now are more of a taupe, a mix of gray and brown,
They are somewhat marbled
Carded wool into one-ounce batts about 8 X 14- inches.
For wet or needle felting and other fiber arts.
Our wool is from our Corriedale sheep.
We card the wool on our drum carder
They are put into 4 oz. bundles (4 one ounce batts)
There may be small lumps of felted wool and a little chaff

I just loved this light and dark taupe wool. I had to take a few pieces of straw out of it but for the most part it was beautiful wool and made a stunning handbag. Literally the softest wool I’ve ever touched in my life 👀 I got this for Tour de Fleece Femmes and the only thing I regret is that I bought **a lot**. I’m not mad I bought so much, I just didn’t realize how dang fluffy it is 🤣 I’m looking forward to playing with this 🥰
I got so much more wool than I thought I was going to, lol The measurements are correct, but it’s so fluffy :3 I wasn’t even able to get it open before my cats decided to get up on the box and try to get into it. I make their little toy mice from wool, so this make sense 🤔 There’s barely any lanolin smell to the wool, so I have no clue how they smelled it through the box. Anyhow, it’s a lot of wool, so I may have bitten off more than I can chew😅 Looking forward to Tour De Fleece Femmes on the 1st 🐑🐑 wish me luck 🍀
