This unique tile coaster set of four is inspired by the my trip to Istanbul. Turkey is known for these regional tiles that decorate many of the architecture. This coaster set is a beautiful set, featuring four different Iznik tiles.

The images are developed using a transfer medium onto natural travertine tiles, 4"x4", which reveals some of the natural stone coloring, and the porous crevices. Due to the individual stones, no two coasters will be the same. Discoloration and imperfections are part of the weathered, handmade antique look.

Given the nature of travertine stone, these tiles are very durable, and sealed with a varnish to protect the image from hot and cold beverages. DO NOT USE with hot pots and DO NOT WASH in the dishwasher. Please clean with a damp cloth when needed. Each coaster tile is backed in cork.

Coasters can be cleaned with a damp cloth. DO NOT put them in a dishwater or submerge them in water. This will affect the adhesive properties of the protective backing material. The top surface of the coasters have been coated with a double layer of sealer. They can withstand heat from a hot mug or pan. I use a tile as a spoon holder on my oven top.

These coasters are absolutely fabulous!! The materials, the colors and the craftsmanship are top notch! The customer service was also amazing. They informed me of the delay, when one of the coasters originally did not come out as good as expected and they wanted to re-do it. I really appreciated the love and work that went into producing them. I got the four coasters I ordered plus the one that did not come out as well as a bonus.
