The item is beautiful and the price was great. Unfortunately, the bottom velvet hem was frayed. This wasn’t indicated in the pics or description. I don’t regret purchasing the item but I wish the damage had been mentioned so my expectations could have been managed. Perhaps the damage occurred during the shipping process due to how it was folded? I will be taking the garment to a seamstress that specializes in antiques to try to come up with a creative way to protect the hem otherwise it will continue to disintegrate. The shipping was insanely quick.
