What if an order does not arrive within the estimated time?

Delivery times are an estimate as orders can be delayed for reasons out of my control such as pandemics, customs delays, postal strikes etc. If you are ordering at short notice please contact me before placing your order. Please contact me if you are concerned that your order has not arrived within the estimated time. UK mail is not considered by Royal Mail to be lost until 12 working days after posting. International Mail is not considered to be lost or undelivered until 25 working days after posting to Europe and 32 working days to all other International destinations but due to the current Covid 19 situation these timescales may change.

Which postal service do you use in the UK

UK orders are sent by Royal Mail 1st class tracked service unless the Special Delivery upgrade option is chosen. Free UK delivery, on certain items only, is with Royal Mail 1st or 2nd class with proof of posting.

International Shipping

All International orders will be shipped with a tracked and signed delivery, or tracked delivery, depending on where the order is shipped to. This does not guarantee faster delivery but a little more security and proof of delivery. All International packages are required to have a completed customs declaration attached stating the package contents and value of the items enclosed and that they are a sale of goods. The declaration can be marked as a gift but will also be marked as a sale of goods.

VAT and Customs duty or tax on EU orders

As the UK is no longer part of the EU an import VAT will be charged and automatically collected by Etsy at the time of purchase, if your purchase is less than 150 euros. The postage label will have information that VAT has been paid under the IOSS scheme and should not incur any further charges for VAT on delivery. If you feel the delivery company are adding a VAT charge in error please raise this with the delivery company. I cannot be held responsible if VAT is charged again in error. Customs duties and/or a handling fee may be charged in the recipient country, this may depend on the order value or contents. As this varies from country to country customers can find more information on this from their relevant customs authority.

Returned, unclaimed, customs or handling charges payment not made or incorrect address.

If an order is returned due to a customer giving an incorrect or incomplete address any refund will not include the original shipping cost. If a customs or handling charge payment is due and is unpaid and the order returned any refund will not include the original shipping cost. Tracking numbers enable a customer to check if any package is being held for any reason before delivery. Packages are normally held for a minimum number of days to enable collection or payment of any customs or handling charges before being returned to sender. Orders will only be re-shipped if shipping is paid for again.

Exchanges and refunds

If any item is returned it must be returned with a tracked service or proof of posting from the Post Office or carrier obtained. Unless the item is faulty or not as described any refund will not include the shipping costs.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All my packaging is recycled, recyclable, compostable or bio-degradable. Tissue paper is made from recycled paper and is recyclable, compostable and bio-degradable. Standard jewellery boxes are made from recycled card and are recyclable. Shipping boxes are recyclable and are secured with a paper tape. Padded envelopes are paper padded and recyclable. If you are adding the paid for gift wrapped option this includes a good quality white card jewellery box which is recyclable but has a foam insert as I have not yet been able to source a recycled or recyclable alternative

Any metal, crystals or pearls may be damaged by things such as hair products or perfumes so it is advisable to apply these before putting on your accessory or jewellery. As any metal may tarnish over time, it is recommended for you to store your jewellery in a clean, dry box or wrapped in tissue paper. Please be aware that although some of the accessories can be worn by children they should not be treated as toys or worn by children under 36 months.
