Highlights
A lovely, almost circular, rose cut, light green sapphire was set in a handfabricated 24K gold bezel to create this unique ring. The subtle colour of the stone is complemented by the rich gold of the bezel, the layered and lightly textured setting adds dephth and dimension to the design. This is a one of a kind statement ring, elegant with an earthy feel. The half-round sterling silver band band was textured to match the setting and is very comfortable to wear.

Process:
Recycled 24 K Gold was melted and rolled out in my studio and cut to shape to form the bezel for the stone. The seams were fused and the edges lightly scalloped for an organic look. The frame was fabricated from layered and textured sterling silver sheet. A band was hand-fabricated using textured half round wire. The parts were assembled and all sharp edges were filed and sanded to ensure a comfortable wear, the ring was lightly oxidised and the stone was set.
