Janis is a huge influence on me and many others, both men and women. Her soulful blues style is a sound that echo's in your heart and never fades.

I wanted to take the beauty that is Janis and transform it into my portrait of her. I drew from different photos from the days of "Pearl" and created my own vision of who I see her as; a beautiful, delicate and sensitive young woman with a lot of heartbreak, heartache and simply a lot of heart.
