"Pentecost" is an original counted blackwork design, inspired by historic, traditional Coptic and Orthodox Christian embroidery and textile motifs. It is designed to be worked in simple back and double-running stitches over 2 threads of evenweave fabric. It is NOT designed to be worked as reversible.

"Pentecost" may be worked in a single or multiple colors, and may be embellished with metallic threads, beads, or whatever the stitcher imagines.

STITCH COUNT and DIMENSIONS - Pentecost is 294 x 294 stitches square. Stitched area is approximately 21 inches square when worked at 14 stitches/inch.

PLEASE NOTE - "Pentecost" and "Pentecost Floral" are the same basic design, except that one features Greek crosses where the other features a floral motif. All borders, etc, are the same.
