About Me:
My name is Kathy Bankston, and I am a metalsmith and lampwork bead maker. All my items are completely handmade by me from start to finish. I do everything, from designing and sketching, to sawing every little piece out with a hand saw, filing and shaping, and soldering it all together. My lampwork glass beads are made from Effetre soda glass and are kiln annealed in my studio. Many of my items are one of a kind, only a few are designs that I will make several of, and even they are unique because it is made by hand each time.
