The maker’s mark, “Dante” is stamped in block letters on the inside shaft of each cuff link. Known for their high quality men’s jewelry and accessories during the l960s, Dante was a division of Shields, Inc. and stopped operations in the l970s. Their cuff links were often set with semi precious stones such as jasper, agate, lapis, and onyx. These stones are black onyx and likely from the l960s.

I found these stylish cuff links at an estate sale in Denver, Colorado. Overall they are in very good vintage condition, with a few light scratches to the metal. Set in gold tone metal, textured and smooth design, with an elegant styling that frames the round black stones, these cuff links are distinctive and handsome. They measure 7/8” square with an open style around the .5” stone. The toggles are secure and tight. From weddings to work, these vintage cuff links are a wonderful cuff adornment. The pictures offer greater perspective on their timeless design and vintage condition.
