How do I apply my temporary tattoos?

Ensure the application area is clean and free from oils, lotions, or makeup. Whether you choose to apply the tattoo as a whole sheet or cut out individual designs, start by removing the plastic film from the front and placing it on your skin, design side down. Press a damp cloth firmly over the top and hold steady for approximately 30 seconds. It's crucial to ensure the paper backing is fully saturated before gently peeling it off, unveiling your brand-new temporary tattoo!

How do I remove my temporary tattoos?

When your tat has run its course, you have a couple of simple removal options. Gently rub it off with a cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol for a quick and effective method. Alternatively, you can apply any type of oil, such as coconut oil, allowing it to sit for at least 30 seconds before carefully wiping it away with a cloth. If you prefer, a warm shower beforehand can soften the material, making the removal process even more effortless before proceeding with the aforementioned steps.

Are NatureTats temporary tattoos safe?

We're thrilled you're prioritizing safety! Rest assured, we take pride in the safety of our materials. Our temporary tattoos have received the non-toxic nod from the FDA, are approved for cosmetic use, and undergo annual testing to not only meet but surpass regulations in the US, Canada, and Europe. Your well-being is our top priority!

What ingredients are used?

Our temporary tattoos feature ingredients commonly found in cosmetic products. Here's a detailed list from our manufacturer: Regular Ingredients: ACRYLATES/VA/VINYL NEODECANOATE COPOLYMER May Contain: BLACK 2 (CI 77266), BLUE 1 LAKE (CI 42090), YELLOW 5 LAKE (CI 19140), RED 7 LAKE (CI 15850), TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891) Your peace of mind is important to us, and we're transparent about the components that go into creating our NatureTats! Our tattoos are generally safe for all skin types. However, if you have particularly sensitive skin, we recommend doing a patch test on a small area to ensure no adverse reactions.

How long do these tats last?

On average, our temporary tattoos typically last 2-5 days based on our experience. The duration may vary depending on the application location and care. For extended longevity, choose areas that aren't subject to frequent rubbing – for instance, tattoos applied to the outer side of the arm tend to fare better than those on hands, which are touched and washed more frequently. To maximize the life of your temporary tattoo, we recommend admiring it with your eyes and avoiding contact with clothes and fingers. Additionally, for longer-lasting results, refrain from applying tattoos to areas prone to frequent bending and stretching. Your enjoyment is our priority!

Can I shower or swim with them?

Absolutely! Our tats are water-resistant, so feel free to shower without rubbing or scrubbing them – a gentle pat with your towel to dry off will do the trick, avoiding any rubbing. If you decide to take a swim, be mindful that oily lotions and sunscreens have the potential to remove the tat. Dive into the water worry-free and enjoy the long-lasting beauty of your NatureTats!

Where are these temporary tattoos made?

The creative process begins right here in Austin, Texas, where artist and shop owner Allison Wilcoxen designs the artwork in the comfort of her own home. The temporary tattoos are then carefully printed in a neighboring state within the US. Even the tags are locally produced, right here in Austin, Texas. We're committed to keeping our materials as close to home as possible!
