A botanical print of anemones, painted by Pierre-Joseph Redouté and transposed onto a black background. Redouté (1759–1840) was a French painter and botanist known for his watercolours of roses, lilies and other flowers. He was nicknamed "the Raphael of flowers" and has been called the greatest botanical illustrator of all time.
