Yes and No. For Disney, the concierge staterooms on deck 12 of the Fantasy and Dream have a wood veneer and will not stick. All other doors are metal. A small number of doors on the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic have a plastic veneer or a heavy paint coat. Magnets might slip or curl on those doors.

For other cruise lines, it depends. If the doors are metal, they will work, and if the door has a non metallic veneer, they most likely will not work. If not metal, check with the cruise line to see if they first allow door magnets, and if they allow an alternative way to hang them like command strips.

The best thing is to contact your cruise line and ask them if they allow door decorations and if the ship you are on has metal doors.

No, our magnets are not fire retardant. Carnival has a policy that does not allow non fire retardant materials on their doors. If you do purchase for a Carnival ship, they have the right to remove your magnets from the door.

Vinyl and Magnetic sheets can be damaged if wet. Please use caution handling vinyl magnets especially when around water. The laminated cardstock magnets are water resistant, but not waterproof.
