In the event of goods being unsuitable, a refund will be given, provided opalKobus receives notification from the customer within 14 days of receipt, and that the goods are returned unworn and in a new condition by Royal Mail, (or other trackable service if outside UK) If goods are damaged or lost in the post, it may be possible to make a claim on Royal mail if I am notified within 7 days of receipt for UK shipments and 7 days of receipt for export orders. In case goods are damaged, photographic proof will be needed for the insurance claim. I may also ask you to return the item (I will refund postage in this case) I will certainly do my best to resolve any issues to our mutual satisfaction.

Orders outside of Europe

All orders sent outside of The United Kingdom will be sent large letter tracked service (where possible) which is insured and will take anything from 5 - 30 days to arrive depending on country. For example, parcels sent to the USA usually take between 7-10 working days from posting. Any Customs duties/taxes payable are the sole responsibility of the buyer. If you require an express delivery I can quote you the extra for this service which will also include tracking and insurance. Please be aware that shipping charges for international buyers are a close approximation of what the post office charge us. I don't try to make money on shipping. Also, I charge only for shipping (and not for handling.)

We recommend you remove all jewellery when washing, bathing, sleeping and swimming- keeping contact with water to a minimum. Avoid direct contact with perfumes and sprays. Sterling Silver or Gold Jewellery To keep your sterling silver or gold jewellery in pristine condition for as long as possible we recommend the use of suitable jewellery polishing cloth. Please see the section on Opal Care for further details for cleaning these gemstones. Surgical Steel Belly Bars and Labrets When cleaning your belly bar or labret, you only need to use a little clean water and antibacterial soap. Dry carefully after doing so.

Ethiopian Opals Ethiopian opals should not be cleaned by steam, in an ultrasonic cleaner, or with any harsh cleaning agents. They should also not be cleaned with warm soapy water because of its hydrophane nature (meaning it absorbs water) Short-term contact with plain water does not tend to harm Ethiopian opals. If a hydrophane opal gets wet from rain or other cause, simply dry off surface with a clean cloth and then let the stone naturally air dry for 24-48 hours – any absorbed water will leave the stone and its play of color should be restored. Australian Opals Solid opal should be cleaned gently with mild detergent in warm water and a soft toothbrush or cloth. Avoid bleach, and other harsh chemicals.

Belly Bar Sizing Sizing for both belly bars and labrets can sometimes be slightly confusing, and that's absolutely ok. Please don't hesitate to ask me about this, if you you need advice. Belly bars are nearly always 14 gauge (1.6mm) in diameter (bar width) Industry standard bar length is 10mm. We offer a range of sizes from 6-12mm to allow for better fit. Measure from tip to tip in a straight line and don't include the gem setting or ball end. Our most popular sizes are either 8 or 10mm

Labret Sizing Our labret bars fit our settings. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee they fit other brands. Labret sizing will vary quite significantly due to various factors including the type of piercing and your own body If you're not sure what size you require, your first stop should ideally be your piercer to check. Bar gauge (width) will vary. We supply 18 gauge, 16 and 14. (1.0, 1 2, 1.6mm). It does vary but for an idea, * Lobe: 20/18 gauge * Tragus/Helix/Rook/Conch/Daith: 16/18 * Nose 20/18/16 Bar length is determined by your own body. Helix, Conch, Tragus usually 6, 8mm but can be longer. Lobe more usually 8, 10. If you have a bar you're happy with, just measure the bar itself, not including the gem setting or end disc.

Posting to the USA - Tariffs Payable as per the new rules

All parcels going into the USA are now subject to tariffs charged by US customs. This varies by country of origin but for the United Kingdom this is 10% (plus handling fee) for the body jewellery we sell. We are now using Royal Mails new DDP service (delivery duty paid). This service means we pay the tariff and handling costs in advance. This means that the buyer should not be asked to pay any further fees before taking delivery of their order. It takes the extra hassle out for the buyer hopefully making this as easy as it was before to receive our body jewellery. The price you see on Etsy including postage is the price you will pay.

My first downsize (5 months into healing) so went with the longer 12mm to be safe and it fits perfectly. Was delivered within just 3 days. The bottom ball is not too big and the rose quartz is beautiful when the light hits. The titanium bar will not irritate my piercing and I will definitely get other designs if available on a 12mm bar in the future
