54 Yard Roll of Fusible Interfacing Tape, in 2 Widths

Fusible interfacing tape is a woven polyester tape with glue on one side. Past generations of garment-makers were required to hand stitch a non-fusible cotton tape along the edges of garments to strengthen the folding lines, but now they have a choice: stitch by hand as before, or use glue. We sell both options. (You can use this fusible tape, or choose one of our non-fusible options, linked to below.) This fusible is pre-cut to 3/4" and 2" widths, and each roll contains 54.7 yards (50 meters).

The glue is activated by heat, so it only becomes adherent when steam or a hot iron is applied. To use, place it *with the glue side down* (the glue side is the one with little round whitish spots) on top of the fabric where you would like to strengthen it, and then press with a hot iron for about 10 seconds before moving on to the next section. If your iron is a very hot industrial model it may be only 5 seconds, or if your iron is a domestic one, it may take a bit longer for the glue to fully adhere.) As with all fusibles, it's always wise to use a press cloth between the tape and the iron.
