This is a PDF PATTERN for crocheted baskets.

These mini baskets are quickly and easily made and can be varied endlessly by crocheting them in one ore more colors.
They will make a fun surprise for the children, a great Easter present, or an unusual Easter dinner table decoration.
This is a great project if you want to use up some leftover yarn as each basket will only use up 5 grams.

Pattern information:
The pattern has a list of all materials needed, it includes step-by-step crochet instructions.
It also includes two methods of strengthening the baskets to enable them to contain candy and still keep their shape.
It is a 4 pages PDF pattern, written in standard US crochet terms, and uses standard format A4 format (210 by 297 millimeters).

Skill level: Easy

Size:
The size of the finished basket is 3 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm in height without counting the handle.
The pattern recommends crochet cotton Catania from Schachenmayr (50 g = 125 m/137 yds) or similar and a size 2.5 mm crochet hook.

Stitches used:
ch – chain stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sl st - slip stitch

This is a very cute and easily made little basket. Just the right size for jelly beans or one or two small candy bars. I made mine in 4 ply yarn for a little reinforcement, but the instructions are so easy and the entire project is perfect for little favors, treats, etc.!
