We live in an incomprehensible and alien world that toys with us like pawns. Let's turn tables!

This set of thirty-two chess pieces, each one made by hand and unique, let's you do just that. Blasphemous horrors, mind-shattering monstrosities, Lovecraftian beasties, you can move them all around at your own whim, just as though you were something other than a shriveled leaf blowing in the winter wind of an alien cosmos. One side is a grotesquely mottled fugue of unhealthy hues, the other side is just off-white, warmer like ivory or aged bone.

Since selling a few hand-made Lovecraftian chess sets in the past, I decided to try to stream-line the production a bit, and make them more affordable. I've been partially successful. Rather than making every piece entirely by hand, I've now sculpted a meta-set of pieces, made molds of them, cast them in plaster, and tinted them.

This means that every piece in every set is a unique object, but more or less reproducible. There are variants of all the pieces, and you could, if you liked, and the stars are right, design a set from the templates I offer, choosing design elements, colours (out of space extra), and the like. Like the shop and visit often, so you'll see new versions as they erupt into this dimension.

The pieces are offered without a board. They are sized in keeping with tournament standards.
