The lampshades produced from handmade papers by Virginia Sarsfield are one-of-a-kind and add a beautiful luminosity to any lamp or lighting situation. The archival papers and lampshade materials are light fast. Each finished lampshade is a functional work of art, to brighten your life and be enjoyed for many years.

This specific lampshade utilizes a spider/harp fitter. The shade sits on top of the harp and is secured with a finial. If your lamp requires a different type of fitting, we can usually accommodate. Virginia was so helpful in making sure that I got the color that would make me happy. She sent swatches and we messaged back and forth to complete the task. The lampshade is beautiful! I love the flecks in the paper. This replaced a hexagonal antique amber mica shade, so I was a bit nervous to go with something so different. But, it really changed the look of the 20 year-old lamp for the better. The paper is gorgeous!

Gigi created a custom made shade for me that exactly matched a lamp shade I was trying to replace. She sent me paper samples, conducted a video chat so she could see the original shade to make sure she understood what I wanted and then created a beautiful replacement for me. She is a very talented artist who cares about her craft. Her papers are gorgeous and it was an absolute pleasure working with her.
