I often make lamps that use separate shades but here i have also made the shade and made it a part of the lamp, rather than square or round i have made it an unusual long/rectangular shape which i think works really well and makes it unusual, another thing that makes this very unusual and very practical is that it doesn't require any light bulb/lamp as it has leds built into the lamp- i have purposely sunk the leds inside the wooden shade so that even if you look straight down into the top of the lamp it appears to be completely empty inside!

the top and base are made from a wood material that has been finished with a lovely unusual wax that gives a metallic/pearl type finish in a light bronze/gold type colour, the inside of the shade and the metal tube are finished in a matt black that contrasts very well against the light pearl finish.

the leds inside really are very bright and give off a lot of light making it very practical and a useful every day item.

with built in LEDS there are no light bulbs/lamps to replace.... ever!! the Leds use a very small plug-in transformer to power them- this is all included in the price, i have these in EU/European, UK, Australia and American/USA style plugs, i will send one suitable to the delivery address (unless specified otherwise)
the lamp is also supplied with an inline on/off switch so it is completely ready to go.

this particular lamp measures about 360mm high and 250mm wide at the top
