What size or pattern design do I need for a bed quilt?

Just about any size pattern may be duplicated, enlarged, or used as a basis for any size quilt. If you are not comfortable re-sizing a quilt pattern, then purchase a pattern that most closely matches the final bed quilt size you want to make. Final size adjustments are made many times in the border area by adding, subtracting, reducing, or enlarging a border fabric.

All Beaverhead Treasures handmade products are "Made in Montana" (MIM) certified. What do I need to consider when choosing yardage to make a bed sized quilt?

1. Will the quilt just fit the top of the bed? 2. Will the quilt hang over each side and by how much? 3. Will the quilt have to cover pillows at the top? 4. What type of fabric will be used? 5. What type and loft of batting will be used? 6. Will the quilting be sparse, medium, or tight?

Baby Quilt 36″ x 36″ to 52″ x 52″ Lap Quilt 42" x 48" to 64" x 78" Lap Quilt for a Wheelchair 36″ x 36″ to 38″ x 48″ (add ties so the quilt doesn't slip) The best way to figure out a bed quilt size is to measure the bed where the quilt will live. The below sizes include about a 15" drop on both sides and the bottom of the quilt. These sizes are designed for use with a dust ruffle and no extra length is included on the top for a pillow tuck. Moderate to heavy quilting may reduce the finished size of your quilt by 1" to 3" (or more). Add more to the width and length for deeper mattresses. - Twin 68" x 89" - Twin X-Long 68" x 94" - Full/Double 84" x 89" - Queen 90" x 95" - King 108" x 95" - Cal-King 102" x 100"

Seller's description

This fabric is sold by the yard. Yardage is sent as one continuous piece of fabric.

These animals are truly magnificent in person and are famously known for head to head battles. Bighorn sheep have excellent eyesight for jumping about rocky cliffs on split hooves with rough bottoms, good for that little bit of extra grip needed on narrow ledges. The male rams have a large full curl after about 7 to 8 years and tend to live apart from the girls most of the year. The female ewes can gather with their young in herds of up to 100, but groups of 10 are much more common.

Approx. Design Sizes
4.5" x 5" Bighorn Sheep Head
5.5" x 2.5" Head to Head Joust

Approx. Width 43/44'' or 109 cm

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Wash darks and lights separately. Machine wash warm on delicate cycle. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry. Use warm iron if necessary.
