I ordered a pair of these as hairpins, but actually a single one can easily hold up a bun of hair all by itself. So the second will be for deoration only... I was thrilled to discover that one pin has a natural darkish dot just like a snake's eye and exactly in the right place. Now I have eyes in the back of my head ;) The pins are both smooth and strong just like a real sssnake, and definitely a looker!
