How long does it take to have a bronze sculpture order cast?

The casting time varies depending upon the size of the sculpture (longer for larger pieces) or upon how busy the foundry is. For small sculptures, it generally takes about 2 months to have a sculpture cast plus the shipping time. I always keep you posted on the progress of your order.

Custom and personalized orders

I accept commissions that align with my subject matter and style. Personalization is offered for gifts, and will be included with your shipment, hand-written on one of my art postcards.

Wholesale availability

I am open to wholesalers, please contact me with your offer and I will consider it.

Can my bronze sculpture stay outside?

Yes, absolutely. Bronze can withstand the elements. It simply requires a coat of wax once in a while to protect the surface from oxidizing. Oxidization happens due to the copper content of bronze. If you would like it to gradually take on the distinctive aqua-green colour that copper goes over time, then just leave your sculpture alone and nature will do the rest! I include a How to Care for Your Bronze Sculpture information sheet with your certificate of authenticity package to make sure you know the specifics.

Patina options for Bronze Sculpture

Patination is a chemical process to intoduce colour to the surface of a bronze sculpture. As such, some patinas, greens in particular, can be more difficult to control than others. Over time, patinas will gradually change as they oxidize. Application of wax helps to preserve the patina colour, but must be applied about once a year if your sculpture is outside, or once every few years indoors.

“Words are inadequate to describe how wonderful and beautiful this sculpture is! It is gorgeous, whimsical, and finely detailed. Kindrie is an amazing artist! She was so lovely to work with and was gracious to add a horn to turn this pegasus into a winged unicorn for me. 🖤🦄 This is truly an heirloom treasure. Buy from Kindrie and treat yourself to something special. Shipping from Canada to the US was incredibly fast.”

Seller's description

Specifications

ABOUT CASTING: The in-stock numbers listed by Etsy reflect the number of sculptures left in an edition. All sculptures need to be cast, unless otherwise stated in the description below. Casting generally takes about 2 months to complete once an order is placed.

US TARIFF INFO: Section 338 tariffs of 50% are now in effect for original art and prints. It is impossible for my studio to absorb this cost on behalf of US collectors. Due to recent changes in courier and cross boarder shipping into the US, levies and duty are now my (the shipper's) responsibility. The listing price for US buyers now includes those extra costs.

EU SHIPPING CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE: Sadly, due to the cost and complexity of the new shipping regulations that have recently come into effect, my small studio is not longer able to ship to the European Union. If you are from a non-EU country and can't find your location on my shipping list, please reach out, and I will see about adding your location to the list.

FLYING PEGASUS SCULPTURE.

* Please note: This sculpture needs to be cast. It will take about 2 months to complete once an order has been placed.

This flying Pegasus bronze sculpture is part of my Pegasus Collection. This is the smallest but because of the scale of his magnificent wingspan, rising up on a diagonal, he seems larger than life!

He is mounted on a marble or granite base by only the feathers of his lower wing, leaving him free to soar!

This sculpture is a fantastic edition to the gothic home decor connoisseur. It will lend a powerful presence for your home or office decor.

He stands 12 inches high and leans on a diagonal. The patina is silver nitrate grey with black lowlights. Custom patina colors are available.

Each of my original metal art bronze sculptures is hand-cast with the Lost Wax Method. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity in a beautiful custom folio.

**If you are purchasing this sculpture as a gift and the casting cannot be ready in time, a custom gift package will be sent to you in advance. It includes a beautiful folio with the certificate of authenticity as well as a photo of your ordered sculpture. It can be given in advance of the sculpture's arrival.
