This is a fun, bright and completely unique Rumi bohemian style jacket. I call it a Rumi jacket because I have embroidered on it, a part of Rumi's poem entitled "On a Day When the Wind is Perfect" on both the back and the left sleeve.

Both the front and the back of this jacket are heavily embellished. I've used vintage lace, vintage hand embroidery, ribbons, sequins, old buttons, upcycled beads, repurposed lace and other fabric remnants. The floral fabric on the left font chest area is enhanced with lots of hand embroidery. I can't even capture all the details here in the 5 photos, but rest assured, this jacket is loaded with special stuff!!!

The jacket itself is chocolate brown corduroy (100% cotton) with four front pockets.

Here is what specifically is embroidered on it:
"On a day when the wind is perfect,
The sail just needs to open and the world is full of beauty.
Today is such a day.
My eyes are like the sun that makes promises:
The promise of life that it always keeps each morning."

This jacket, like all of my other creations, is one-of-a-kind and completely made from upcycled materials. The only "new" materials used were thread and embroidery floss.
