Two Vintage Books
History of The Church of England in Tasmania and The Pioneer Bishop in V.D.L 1843-1863.

The first is by W.R. Barrett M.A., Th.L. Warden of Christ College and Canon Chancellor of St. David's Cathedral. Published at Hobart, 24th August, 1942 and printed by 'The Mercury Press' Hobart. The title says it all.
The second is the history of Francis Russell Nixon, D.D. 1803-1879, the first bishop of Van Dieman's Land or Tasmania. Collected and compiled by Norah Nixon it was published in the 1950s.
They include black and white photography and illustrations. The first is a hardcover book with cloth spine and 92 numbered pages. The cover has surface wear, scuffing, marking and small small surface tears to back cover (see photo). There is an Ex. Libris stuck inside the front cover. The pages have slight scuffing to outer edges otherwise they are in very good condition. The second is a softcover book of 64 numbered pages with two staple binding. The cover has sunning front and back, slight surface wear, slight creasing and a mark where a sticker has been removed. Page 23 has a marked paragraph in red otherwise the pages are in very good condition.

The second 14X21.1cm or 5 1/2X8 5/16"
Together they weigh 380gms.
