Highlights
Ebony and ash are a joy to work with and they look so good when they're paired together in a single ring. There's a certain irony in how the understated nature of ebony draws attention to itself. It can be solid black as pictured, or it can have solid dark red veins running through it. And when you're wearing the ring, that little bright rim of the ash liner lets folks know that there's a bit more going on than they might first guess.
All of the rings I make are hand-made and customized to your specifications. So if you have any special requirements for the size or design of your ring, please message me once you place your order. In fact, message me anyway. I love talking to people about this stuff!
== How Bentwood Forge Rings Are Made ==
All of my rings are made with a bent wood technique that involves wrapping thin layers of wood around itself. This process results in a strong, durable ring that's incredibly lightweight. When I say these rings are hand-made, I mean truly made by hand. The whole process from bending all the way through to finishing is done with meticulous care and without the use of any power tools. Even the rocks in the stone inlays are crushed by hand.
Because wood can have minor variances in color and appearance, no two rings are exactly alike. I custom-build each ring to order based on your input and ideas. A finished Bentwood Forge ring is a one-of-a-kind work of art.
These rings are very difficult to resize, so I strongly recommend that you get your finger sized by a jeweler to ensure a perfect fit.
Please allow 1-2 weeks for me to create your ring. If you need your ring made faster please message me directly and we'll arrange for a rush order.
== Ring Care ==
When properly cared for, your wooden ring can last a lifetime. The rings are very strong and have a waterproof protective finish that fends off the elements. However, I don't recommend that you wear your ring while scuba diving or smashing boulders with your fists. Those activities will certainly affect the finish. I take mine off when showering and washing my hands. I offer a more in-depth ring care guide on my website:
