MULTIPLY your dimensions in inches >>>>>> Length X Width = Total Square Inches <<<<<<
You have to find the TOTAL AREA to purchase our listing! The $40 price is only for really small pieces of metal under 144" (like 12x12").
Please purchase the CORRECT SIZE using the total square inches that you need.
- This listing is for solid pieces of steel cut to your specific size.
- The Galvanized Steel Metal Board is 24 gauge industrial metal. It is .5 mm thick.
- Please give your exact measurements that you need in the personalization box during checkout. (length x width)
For example:
16"x20" = 320" square inches
26"x36" = 936" square inches
30"x40" = 1200" square inches
- Maximum size is 1728" square inches for 1 solid piece. (That is 36x48" or 24x72"' for example)
- Shipping bigger sizes is very expensive due to carrier overage charges.
- Purchase 2-3 pieces to use in a bigger space if needed.
- You can add up multiple cuts and purchase the total square inches of all your pieces.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Our cuts can be slightly off 1/8" - 1/16" of an inch since we are cutting huge pieces. It is best to give us measurements slightly smaller than your exact measurement because frames and walls are not exactly square and that gives more wiggle room.
• This metal is an industrial metal and may have a few marks and scratches on it. (It is not a stainless steel.) It may also scratch after magnets slide around on it.
• Magnets will stick to this steel metal. This metal is not magnetized... meaning your kitchen knives or tools will not stick to it.
FAQ's:
• Can I use dry-erase or chalk markers on these boards?
- YES! They work great!
• Can I paint the board?
- YES! Use a paint that will not scratch easily such as chalkboard paint. Spray paint will scratch and is not recommended.
• Are the edges sharp?
- YES! Use caution when handling the board. Think of it as a blade of steel. So handle with care. You may want to cover the edges with a frame, moulding or caulk the edge for safety.
• How do I attach to the wall?
- Bigger sizes will require holes drilled and mounted with dry wall screws. Construction grade glue like liquid nails or command strips may work for smaller pieces.
• How much does the metal weigh?
- 36x48" weighs about 16 pounds | 24x36" weighs about 8 pounds | 16x20" weighs about 3 pounds
• Will this metal rust?
- No! - This metal is treated with a coating and will not rust.
• How do I remove the tape that was used to secure the metal? (Sorry we have to secure these blades of steel to ship.)
- Use alcohol or Goo-Gone or a product that will remove a sticky residue.
• Can you file the edges of the metal?
- No, sorry, you can if you want to purchase a small, cheap metal file. They are blades of steel and should be handles with care.
• Can you drill holes or round the corners in my metal?
- Yes! - Purchase this listing here for that:
