I purchased a set of eight for my granddaughter and her family. The placemats are beautiful. BUT, I had a problem with how they were packed for shipping. They were stacked, folded in half, and loosely wrapped in a piece of tissue paper and placed in a plastic mailing pouch. The placemats were not completely covered, so in transit the top mat shifted. When I went to cut open the pouch, since there are no tear strips, I inadvertently snipped the corner of the placemat that had wiggled from the tissue. So now I have a quarter inch cut, dead center, on the edge of one of the placemats, which I will need to hand stitch. Please wrap the entire order in tissue if your are mailing it in a soft plastic pouch style bag. They are made to be inexpensive, and light for mailing, but they are difficult to open by the consumer without trouble.
