Your logo or image printed on a set of cotton sewing or iron on labels. Number of labels per set depends on the label size.

HOW TO SEND LOGO: either send us an ETSY MESSAGE or an EMAIL at etsy [!at] everemblem.com with your logo immediately after ordering. Please put the order number and the order ship to name in the subject line of the email.

WHAT FILE TYPE TO SEND:

best option--> PDF of your logo with all text expanded (note, make sure this is a true PDF and not just a JPEG saved as a pdf - this will have low quality)

second best option: 300 dpi JPEG or PNG. Make the image as large as possible and then export at 300 dpi. Embed the color profile for best print quality

will print, but not great quality: a screenshot of your logo. Screenshots are generally 72 dpi (low resolution) and your logo will print out with slightly fuzzy edges or details and text can be lost. Sending the original high resolution file is the best way to have a good print on the fabric labels.

HOW TO PICK SIZE:

Choose a label size that matches your logo shape - if your logo is more square, choose a square label size like 1"x1" or 1.5"x1.5".
If your logo is closer to a rectangle, choose a rectangular label like .5"x1.5", 2"x1", or 2"x3".

Keep in mind the size of your logo and any text when choosing label size. Very small labels will only work with simple logos and minimal text. Larger labels will be needed for more detailed logos.

Please note: The back of sew on & fold over tags are heat sealed with a light layer of lamination to prevent the cotton fabric from unraveling. This layer makes the cotton labels study and fray resistant, yet soft to the touch and thin enough to hand or machine sew.

Tip: test item to ensure it can handle the iron heat without damage. Protecting exposed fabric/yarn can help keep the heat on the tag only.

-fold over labels only - cut ribbon edges need to be sewn into a seam or turned under to prevent unraveling

1. remove the paper backing from the tag and put on item

2. Using a hot, dry iron, heat the tag on the item for the recommended time:
Regular iron on: 3 seconds
Heavy iron on: 15 seconds

*note - longer times do not equal better adhesion, following the heating times exactly is the key to a strong bond

3. do not touch or move the item for a full two minutes OR until the item is cool

**this is the most important part** if the item is moved while still warm the adhesive will separate and the label will come off. Once the adhesive is fully cooled the tags will be adhered.

Resist the urge to check the corners of the tag until it is fully cooled :)

Please wait at least 24 hours before washing items with tags applied.

Most problems with iron on tags not sticking are due to the adhesive not cooling completely before the tag is moved.

If the item is moved or the tag corners are lifted while the adhesive is still warm, the glue will separate and the tag will come off. The adhesive layer must fully cool to have a strong bond.

Resist the urge to check label adhesion until the tag is completely cool :)

*heating the tags for the exact time on the package is also crucial for a strong bond. longer heating will not result in a stronger bond, but will damage the adhesive and prevent the label from sticking.

We have two types of labels that can be printed with your logo:

COTTON→ printed in color (flat or folded tags, sew on or iron on, machine wash delicate)

Cotton sew on labels are printed with an 1/8" border around the design to allow you to sew them on your item.

Remove the paper backing from the tag just before using. This exposes the laminated backing that prevents the cotton from fraying when washed.

Either hand or machine sew around the edge of label (no need to completely secure the edges with a zig-zag; the backing will prevent fraying). Using a straight stitch works for securing, or get creative with embroidery floss of fancy stitches :)
