The perfect slim, minimalist wallet for those that value simplicity, functionality and durability. Made from the finest leather and hand stitched by the hand of the designer at my studio in Wellington, New Zealand.


THE ORIGINAL 'MINIMUM WALLET' - EMBOSSED BYRON SURFER STRAP


The original 'Minimum Wallet' has been The Office of Minor Details benchmark slim wallet since 2007. I made the first one of these back in 2006 for myself when I couldn't find a wallet small and simple enough. This particular wallet has been heat embossed by hand with my original design of a surfer and the iconic Julian Rocks of Byron Bay on the horizon, a view see while talking my daily walk on beach.

Each wallet is completely made me under the Australian sun in my beach side studio without the use of any machines. Each wallet is lovingly hand cut, punched, embossed and stitched.

No snaps or fasteners ensures this slim wallet slides easily in and out of your pocket without catching. The simple flap and strap closer keeps everything safely inside.

BUILT TO WEAR IN, NOT WEAR OUT
Constructed using 1.2mm genuine vegetable tanned leather. The Minimum Wallet will give you years of dependable use while gaining a beautiful patina over, picking up the scars of every day use and becoming distinctly yours with the passage of time.

FOLDED FOR STRENGTH
Made using a single piece of folded leather. Folds replace seams where possible giving maximum strength.

UNIQUE 3D ROLLED EDGE DESIGN
Like all of our products this slim leather wallet features a rolled and stitched edge. This process forms an internal pocket which is shaped to accept your cards so you won't have to stuff them in, at the same time delivering the smallest footprint.

HAND STITCHED FOR DURABILITY
Each Minimum Wallet is hand stitched using a double saddle stitch and incredibly durable 1mm waxed polyester braided thread to create exceptionally durable seams.

I was looking for a small card wallet for a gift and this ended up being perfect. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the choice of materials is ideal for the wallet. You can tell it’s been made with high skill and care. The small detail of Byron is a really nice touch, especially if you are familiar with the area. It’s been very well received and enjoyed. Iain was a delight to deal with and processed my order so quickly, it was literally in the mail the following day. The only downside is that it’s been made so well, it might be some time before I need to get a replacement.

It's a nice simple, well made wallet. Not impressed with the import duty that had to be paid on collection. Increased the purchase price well above its value. Wouldn't do it again.
