Sea Turtle Blanket (pattern only)

See baby sea turtles crawling though the sand and to the ocean in this great blanket. Made to look like the sand and ocean waves on the beach to replicate baby sea turtles on their first journey to the ocean.This blanket is great to give as a gift or make for yourself.

This is an instant download of the pattern only in .doc and .PDF format

Size is roughly 4.5 ft wide and 6 ft long. Depending on how tight or loose your stitch is.

Use size K hook throughout and a tapestry needle to sew on turtles and starfish.

3 colors are used. One sand color, one baby blue, one ocean blue.

I usually get red heart yarn. The blanket will take 3 7oz. Skeins of yarn. I get one skein of each color. You can get two of each color in case you end up needing a bit extra.

The turtle in the pattern is worked in an oval by using a ch and working around the ch into an oval body. If this gives you difficulty, please use my alt turtles which uses a magic circle and a round instead.

ch-chain

sc- single stitch

hdc-half double crochet

dc- double crochet

dc 3 ch tog- double crochet 3 chain spaces together into one stitch.
