Interesting color-play, lots of texture and a reversible design makes this a blanket right down Felted Button’s alley. Since the blanket is worked in rows, not joined squares, with some techniques included in the pattern for reducing the color changes, it’s a joy to work up--with many fewer ends than you might think!
The thoroughly tested 10 page pattern includes:
~~complete materials list (12 colors--13 skeins--of worsted cotton yarn or yarn colors/weight of your choice)
~~notes, special stitches and abbreviations sections
~~ complete written pattern (US terms) of blanket and border with included multiples to adjust the dimensions, if desired
~~ color placement chart
~~picture section detailing color changes and carrying yarn
Skill Level: Easy.
Materials: 13 skeins of 12 colors (detailed in pattern) of worsted weight (or weight/yarn preferred); H (5mm) hook; 1738yds (1590m) total
Stitches: sc, dc, ch, sl st
Dimensions: Sample blanket with border: 37in X 46in (94cm X 117cm) but can be adjusted with included multiples
This pattern is written in standard US crochet terms.

The pattern is thorough and the final product is beautiful! I agree with some of the other reviews that it is easy but it isn’t simple to make. You have seven colors working at once and change either the color you carry or the color itself every 20 stitches so it’s a bit hard just sit back and go. The material is extremely soft. My kiddo loves this blanket!

You will not find another like this afghan on Etsy. Trust me. I've searched. This afghan screams creativity with all sorts of colors. It looks so difficult that I almost didn't buy the pattern, but I was determined. To my pleasure and surprise, it's easy - really easy. I have started it and my mind is screaming all kinds of color combinations. Not only that, it is easy to enlarge if needed. I will be making this for two toddlers and two adults. Well, three adults because I want one for myself.
