I specialize in making steel stamps which I use to create my designs. This is the second in my Cosmic Series, and one of my favorite stamps. See notes on patinas below.

They measure about 3/8" across, and are made from Argentium (ar-JEN-tee-um) tarnish-resistant sterling silver, which is fantastic stuff. It's a little more expensive, but it really works! (Check out argentiumsilver.com if you'd like more info.)

I use surgical steel posts, which I prefer for their strength and hypoallergenic quality. I also use the best bullet catches, which are much nicer than butterfly backs.

I generally don't polish my pieces to a high finish, and they typically have a more rustic look. The giant closeup photos here don't really show how great they will look when you wear them. My life-size "Ear on a Wire" shows you the size relative to your ears, no matter what size format you're viewing this in. But wait until you see them in real life!

PATINAS: I frequently give my pieces a treatment which creates a dark oxidization in the recesses of the design, creating an element of contrast that makes the pattern stand out. However, I have found that the closeup photos necessary for Etsy often show "flaws" in that finish that are not visible or relevant in a real-life situation. Thus, I often leave it off for photographic purposes. However, most patterns could easily be oxidized if you would prefer that type of contasting finish. Or, I can leave it off altogether if you'd prefer a brighter look. Just let me know when ordering.
