This is a new take on my classic light switch cover. It features a smaller rusted gear on each side that adds interest and dimension. It functions the same as ever! Just flip the metal lever to turn lights on and off. My design fits most toggle switches in the USA. Simply unscrew and remove your existing switch plate, and screw this one in in its place. It's functional metal art that is extremely easy to install.

My lever system has a bolt and nut design that allows you to adjust the amount of torque needed to flip the lights on and off. Your purchase comes with a small, matching wrench to help you adjust the bolts. It also comes with a steel spacer plate that ensures a tight seal against the wall and also prevents wobbling and unsightly gaps.

Base plate measures 4 ¾ inches tall by 2 ¾ inches wide. Levers extend 4 ¾ inches from the wall.

When installing, a good option is to turn your existing toggle switch upside down so that the up/down, on/off action of the levers is not reversed.

This design is only compatible with toggle switches (the kind you flick up and down with your finger). If you have a dimmer or rocker switch, I can include a 15A-120V toggle switch with your order at no extra charge. Please notify me via a conversation if you need a complimentary toggle switch.

Any properly installed and functioning light switch has a safety ground. There should be no dangerous voltages anywhere near a properly functioning switch. The toggle switch itself is plastic, which is also an insulator. Whenever you are working with electricity, however, it’s always a good idea to turn off the breaker and double check your wires to make sure the insulation on your wiring is intact, and that the ground is connected to the switch. If the copper wire is exposed, or if the insulation is cut, you could get a shock due to faulty wiring.

Before installing, please ensure that your current light switches are functioning properly, that your switch is grounded, and that there are no loose wire connections.

The Industrial wall switches custom made by SteamPunkInteriors that is owned by Meleny , are the Highest Quality you can get anywhere ! It is hard to even find a vendor that makes them . I have two of the single throw blanks ( for display only ) and mine are not functional . I purchased one a while back and put it to the side as I built my display up to the point of installing it . Then I realized that I needed the exact switch on the other side of my display . Got it real quick . These aren’t plastic , they are all steel and most buyers install them and they are functional ! All the hardware etc. The Quality is Great , Shipping is a little slow , but their business is in Oregon , long way to go in transit to many states . I received my single switch blank for looks in an industrial display Re: in honor of Nicola Tesla . For some reason ( maybe the recent tropical storm on the West Coast ) ! It took quite a while to get to me in the mail . I received it yesterday on 8/25/23 and at the same time - Etsy said that it is time for me to review this item ! Needless to say I haven’t installed it in my display yet . But I gave it a good look over and I think that it is going to look great in my display . No wood on the handle and I told the Seller - Steampunk Interiors to put some rust on each side where there is a gear design . Looks great but I can’t put it up the same day that I get it and it’s also Etsy review time on it . I am just about done on my display , several items need to be added including this switch .
