Our stickers are inspired by the kamon worn on kendo armor. The mon, or kamon, is a heraldic insignia initially used by samurai clans to recognize each other more easily on the battlefield. They are generally in the form of stylized designs inside a geometric shape. They correspond to a coat of arms worn by members of a clan or family.
In kendo, the traditional Japanese sword art, dojos often equip themselves with a kamon, either by using an existing pattern or by creating an original pattern.
Members of the dojo can then wear this kamon on their armor, at the level of the breastplate (the do) in the form of a golden sticker approximately 3.5 cm in diameter.
Usually, it is a distinctive sign worn by senior practitioners, that is to say those who have obtained the black belt (Yudansha).
You can ask us to create your own sticker, for its original use or, of course, to decorate any support of your choice.
We offer to create your sticker. The first step is to create the pattern from the dojo kamon if you are a kendo practitioner, or from the pattern of your choice. This involves drawing the pattern so that it is compatible with the size of the final cutout (3.5 cm in diameter). This will sometimes require making simplifications to your original drawing.
For this first step, please contact us to establish the quote. You can also go through the customization request.
Once the pattern is made, the stickers are cut out of gold adhesive vinyl. Their diameter is 3.5 cm. They are covered with a transfer adhesive that will allow them to be positioned on the support to be decorated.
Before ordering, please contact us so that we can determine the conditions for creating the pattern, from your kamon or for the creation of an original pattern. This will determine the amount of the first step of making the sticker.
