I based my orchids on real orchid blossoms, and the petals are shaped like the real ones. I used silk habotai for the orchids, stiffened the silk, cut out the petals, painted them by hand, and used European flower-making tools to shape the petals..

The orchid blossoms are lime green with hot pink centers--colors that are taken from real orchids.

The orchids are approximately three inches wide. The headband is approximately 1/4 inch wide.
