This beautifully hand painted, wooden, lacquered USSR Large sized bowl is unusual - - - in that it is painted both inside and out with gooseberries, raspberries, leaves, scrolls and flowers in the traditional colors of red, gold and black and Finely painted by a very skilled artisan with a real flair of artistic Expression!

As you can see in the 6 photos, the integrity of the gorgeous piece remains intact - - - as I made the pincushion completely removable. Only the red and black trim around the rim is attached when the cushion is removed.

The cushion is covered in a red floral print beautifully accentuating the color scheme of the painted bowl and "framed" by a chartreuse cotton fabric to give it "treasured excitement". The highest quality ploy-fil fills the cushion. A red satin ribbon flower in the center has a clear faceted bead with 5 small red faux pearls. A shiny red "satin" fabric-type-bead- with black puff balls edges the bowl.

This a an extra large size pincushion ( 5 inches in diameter) and easily accommodates pins and needles up to 5 inches long. A beautiful TREASURE and the only ONE like it. Very special!
