These hand painted Gum Leaf Brooches are cut from Blue Gum plywood, etched with details and painted in rich leafy tones. These are inspired by my daily walk in the Tasmanian bush, where the startling colours of the leaves on the path always catch my eye.

Each brooch is unique, due to the hand painting process, but I keep the colour palette the same. When I'm happy with the paint finish, I coat each leaf with a matt sealant to protect it from wear and tear. The brooch has a lockable brooch pin firmly attached to the back. The brooch is 7cm at its longest point.

Your Gum Leaf Brooch will come attached to a card, and protected in a cello pouch. Free tracked shipping is included for Australian orders.

I just love this beautiful linocut. As an Australian living in America, it reminds me of home each time I look at it. I grew up in a suburb of Sydney called Telopea - the botanical name for Waratah. So this is extra special to me. The item was packaged extremely carefully, and even included a handwritten note from the artist and some of her beautiful greeting cards. I will treasure this for ever.
