Highlights
Icosa3M4
Triangular, whirling and orderly at the same time. This balancing between rest and motion, between an inner order and order apparent from the outside, interests me.
The mosaic is made of fine white acid-free paper cut, creased and carefully put together.
Edition of: 25
Size: 37 x 37 x 1,5 cm / 14 ½ x 14 ½ x ¾ in
Material: Acidfree Paper, PVA Glue
The mosaic comes safely packed in a box.
About the series:
Through a series of subjective modifications, I derived this four-piece series from the Plato´s 3-fold icosahedral symmetry.
This is the first time I entered the blueprint pattern and made benevolent changes to it guided only by my intuition. The whole Icosa3mod series shares the most prominent features: 3-fold symmetry, a hexagonal outline, and core rotated off 36°.
Each piece is built around a different motive found in the original composition and represents a different morphology.
