Skirts pattern for 36" to 38" Fashion Doll

These cute little skirts will be gorgeous on My Size Barbie, and will fit 36" to 38" dolls. Fastened at the back with Velcro for easy use by little girls, this straight skirt is made in whatever colourful fabric you choose, preferably one with a slight stretch. The circle skirt shown in the sample is made of cotton poplin which falls beautifully, and has a machine embroidery feature. These skirts can be jazzed up with applique, embroidery or brightly coloured topstitiching to make a very individual item. Some adjustment may need to be made to the waistband to ensure a good fit. Please note that the items of clothing Barbie is wearing to model her skirts have patterns available separately in my Etsy shop.

This pattern has the paper outline pieces, on multiple pages (and labelled for joining) which will need to be attached to each other, and written instructions to guide you through the process. I recommend that you trace the pattern pieces on to some medium weight non-fusible interfacing for ease of use and storage. Included in this pack are the instructions for making the pattern for the circle skirt. Be aware that different manufacturing dates on this line of dolls had slightly different measurements, and you made need to make small adjustments.

In my patterns, fastenings recommended are Velcro or buttons to help little girls to dress their dolls more easily. This range includes leggings, skirts, a T-shirt, a button front shirt, a long sleeved top with a high neck, summer dresses, and a lovely hooded jacket.
