The term “huarache” comes from the word “kwarachi” in the Purépecha or Tarascan language. This is a very durable product. Do not buy imitations — our huaraches are made the traditional way, just like in the old days.

If you need a special size, feel free to contact me and we can provide a quote. We can make them in small sizes as well as very large adult sizes.

Regarding sizing, we do not offer half sizes, only whole sizes. However, the footwear has a roomy fit, and with use it will gradually mold to your foot. For this reason, if you wear a half size, we recommend ordering the previous whole size. For example, if you wear a size 7.5, the most suitable size would be 7.

Love these for hot Texas summers. I like a narrow fit and these are almost too narrow, but they are starting to break in well. On average I am a size 10.5 US (10 dress shoe, 11 sneaker) so most people should probably size up.
