This is a beautiful map of Rhode Island that was featured in the 1891 Rand McNally atlas. It has an insert of the city of Providence at the bottom right hand corner and has historical significance due to its age. Additionally, the other side of the map shows the eastern portion of Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Atlantic Ocean.

This map was taken from an edition of Rand McNally & Co.’s popular New Family Atlas of the World, which was published in 1891. The Rand McNally was one of the most prolific map publishers during the 19th century, and their maps are great artifacts of history. After all, the world is constantly changing, new territories develop, new places are discovered, and there were only 44 states back in 1981! The book includes several diagrams and charts that are not listed for sale, but if you are interested in purchasing them, please let me know!

Each page from the atlas measures 11 x 14in, and I have selected which specific maps to sell. Each map is double sided as it was taken directly from the binding of the book.

Please make sure to look at the quality of these maps as they are in good condition considering their age. There is light browning to the edges, and you will see the area where the page was taken from the binding.

NOTE: When you purchase a map, it will not come with any frame or mat. I will be sending you the sheets from the atlas directly.
