Shattered Glass Ceiling Pin

Women have come a long way in this world but there is still so much farther to go. This shattered glass ceiling pin symbolizes both the successes achieved and the shattered glass ceilings yet to happen.

This pin is my interpretation of those goals. It is inspired by the fused shattered glass ceiling pin frequently sported by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. My pin is made of 5 pieces of stained glass, all hand cut and ground along the edges to be safe to handle. One piece is of a solid 'backing' piece to hide the pin back. The other 4 are clear glass, with varying surface textures. All are held together securely by E6000 glue. I've had two 'sample' pins in my pocket since August 2016, and they are as solid as the day they were made, even with the jostling against other things in my pocket (one even survived an accidental trip through washer and dryer). This pin will stay together well beyond the shattering of the last glass ceilings.

Every pin is unique with its combination of shapes, textures, and layout. Size varies as a result of this but they tend to average about 1 1/2" across the colored piece of glass, and 2 - 2 1/2" vertically. The photos with the listing are examples. Your actual pin will likely be different.

I have numerous pins on hand so can ship quickly. The listing is 'made to order' just in case a color is requested that is not currently made and must be done. There is typically no more than a few days wait for custom requests. I can do pretty much any color except orange and metallic colors. Colors made today include blue (light and dark options available), purple, green, yellow, pink, white, black, grey, brown, and red.
