This garland is filled with bright, colorful patterned paper birds in shades of green (with accents of pink, yellow, and gold foil accents)! These winged, flying birdies will brighten your day or your special event!

9 Double-sided birds per strand

The birds are cut from decorative paper from India (which was originally made from recycled Tshirts), and I carefully select the mixture of patterns for each strand. The birds are double-sided and the wings can be nudged horizontally (they come assembled, i.e., already in the wing-slot, but vertical for packaging) to make them appear to be flying (if the wings remain vertical they might slip over time). The garlands are strung on complimentary colored string, and there is a loop and a complimentary-colored, faceted bead on either end of the garland so it can be strung horizontally or vertically. If you need to, you can loosen each single knot slightly to adjust a bird's position on the strand, but I don't really recommend it. I put a lot of work into each garland: they originally start as 2 flat one-sided pieces of paper!

Each bird is double-sided, so the pattern shows no matter how the bird twists or twirls.)

I originally made similar bird garlands for my wedding decor, and they turned out beautifully. I had multiple strands of garlands hanging off a chandelier, some flying above the altar, and others strung from the windows, and doorways, etc. After the wedding, I put them up in my home. I now have birds strung across archways in my apartment. I decided other people would probably love them too!

NOTE: The specific garland you are purchasing is shown in the FIRST and SECOND photograph. The pictures in between are representative garlands that show the hanging orientation etc. of the garlands in general. Two pictures show multiple hanging garlands. You will be buying a single strand. Also, since I make these by hand, there will be minor differences between some birds, and there may be small imperfections from time to time.
