Orders are filled as a medium, one-size-fits most (which will fit 95% of people) unless otherwise requested. If you know that you require a larger or smaller size, or are uncertain if you do, just send me the measurement of the circumference of your head along with your order, and I will make sure that your hat fits you perfectly! Measure along the tops of your ears and just above your eyebrows, where a hat would land.

Do you make custom colours or designs?

Absolutely! Either convo us, or use the "Request a Custom Order" button.

How do I care for my hat?

Hats should be hand washed in cold water and laid flat to dry. Though the hat is felted in a washing machine, it will shrink (a lot!) more if you put it in the machine again. If your hat has stretched slightly through extended wear, simply hand wash it – just like any garment, it will tighten up slightly when washed.

Can you gift wrap my item?

Absolutely! Just let us know in the notes to seller.

Do you make children's hats?

Our heads grow only marginally after the age of about 8-10, so our regular adult hat will fit most children this age and up. If you would like to order a hat for a child younger than 8 years old, please contact us directly.

Do you make hats in anything other than wool?

All of our products are made with 100% merino wool. Merino wool is incredibly soft and fine, and is suitable even for those who otherwise find wool itchy. Because they are felted, the fabric is lovely and thick and the hats are remarkably warm, yet wool is by nature breathable. The naturally occurring lanolin in the wool also means the fabric is water resistant, making them the perfect all weather hat.

How do I care for the slippers?

You can hand wash the slippers in cold water, or spot clean them.

Will the slippers stretch?

They will give and mould to your foot. They are meant to fit tight, more like a sock with a sole. If you have wide feet, or narrow feet, or whatever your difference, the slippers will take the shape of your foot, in whatever way your foot needs.

Soft and luxurious 100% merino wool hat that is first knit large and then felted (or shrunk), creating a seamless, durable and incredibly warm winter hat - the warmest hat you'll ever own!

While most winter hats sacrifice fashion for function or vice versa, our hats are classically stylish yet incredibly warm. They can be worn as easily to a nice dinner out as they can on the ski slopes. The hat has a 1920's cloche shape that lends it a vintage modern feel, and means that it covers the ears nice and snugly.

The brim of the hat is split in one place, flipped up and held in place with two buttons, giving it a great shape that frames the face beautifully.

This is our best style if you have glasses or short hair, as the asymmetry of the brim plays against the straightness of the glasses, and a bit of your hair peaks out if it's shorter.

Buttons can also be worn at the back, giving it a different shape and added warmth.

If you would like to choose which buttons you would like, please refer to the final photo of nine buttons and send us a "note to seller" with your order specifying which ones you would like. Otherwise we will choose something lovely for you!

The merino wool we use is wonderfully soft, giving you all the benefits of wool without any scratch. The hat is warm yet breathable, does great in wet and damp weather (water beads up on the surface because of the thickness of the felt and the natural lanolin oils in the wool), and requires little washing (again because the natural oils in the wool repel dirt).

One size fits most. Our hats are fitted yet stretchy, and will fit almost everyone. But if you know that you have a smaller or larger than average head, simply send us the circumference of your head (measure around the tops of your ears and across the tops of your eyebrows) and send us the measurement as a note to seller along with your order. We will make sure the hat we send you is the perfect size.

Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
