As a meditation stone it helps quieten the mind and is an aid to finding deep inner peace and discovering the wisdom within us.
EMOTIONALLY: Amethyst will help in sadness and grief and lend support in coming to terms with loss. It clarifies the inner world of images and also our dream lives. If you put amethyst under your pillow, you will find that, initially, it will strongly stimulate dreaming until all undigested impressions have been clarified. After a few days, however, sleep will suddenly become calmer, deeper and more refreshing. During waking consciousness, amethyst stimulates inspiration and intuition.
MENTALLY: Amethyst encourages sobriety and awareness. It helps encourages consciously dealing with perception. MOONSTONE

MYTHOLOGY

Moonstone is associated with the moon and is therefore traditionally linked to intuition, the emotions, the heart and fertility. In the Far East, the orient and Europe it was thought to be a lucky stone and was for love magic.

Healing
Spirituality: Moonstone increases mediumistic abilities and clairvoyance. It encourages lucid dreaming, particularly at the time of a full moon.

Emotionally: Moonstone refines our (subconscious) perception of light, thereby enhancing intuition. It bestows depth of feeling, improves the remembering of dreams and diminishes any tendencies to sleepwalking.
Mentally: Moonstone makes us more open to sudden, irrational impulses. This means that it encourages ‘happy coincidences’, but can just as easily let us trip up on our own illusions.
Physically: Moonstone stimulates the functioning of the pineal gland and via this gland’s sensitivity to light, balances the internal hormone cycles with nature’s rhythms. In this way, the moonstone also enhances women's fertility and helps with menstrual problems, after childbirth and during the menopause.

Application

Magical/ritual lore: Silver is the Moon’s metal. Because it is found in its pure form, it was one of the first metals to be used by humans. Throughout the world silver us identified with the lunar manifestations of the Great Mother, the eternal goddess. Silver is a protective amulet. Silver is the metal of emotions, of the psychic mind and of love and healing.
Magical uses: Silver is linked with the emotions, some feel over wrought or emotionally overwhelmed if they wear at the time of the Full Moon.
