THE CRAFTING JOURNEY

Handcrafted in my Northumberland Studio, these simple and delicate rings are gently hammered to catch the light from all angles.

With the hills of Northumberland as the backdrop to the workshop, my work is ever inspired not only by the beautiful countryside, but by the rich history of craftsmanship that existed along the Roman Wall. To be making jewellery, metal smithing, all these centuries later, immerses me in the alchemy of days gone by.

My name is Sarah and I’m intensely passionate about the visual language of jewellery. Starting out in London and then New York, I’ve been making jewellery for 20 years, born out of a love for these tiny pieces of art.

All Sarah Hickey jewellery is handcrafted with care in our Hexham workshop, hidden amongst the rolling Tynedale hills of beautiful Northumberland. We are a small team, who work hard to embrace beauty in all things and are proud to be a part of British Craft.
